eCampus Organizational Chart
Carlos Morales, Ph.D. – Executive Director, eCampus and Learning Technologies
Carlos institutes and organizes new online course and programs, works with individual faculty in transfering a traditional course to an online format, provides workshops, researches new learning technologies, assists faculty with solving problems in eCollege CMS, sets policy in relation to the usage of eCollege CMS, and manages the distance education unit and the support of Learning Technologies. Dr. Morales is also responsible for managing the Instructional Design staff who assists faculty with incorporating technology for teaching and learning.
Course Developer
Vicki coordinates the development of distance education coursework for online classes and assists with online technologies used to enhance the face-to-face classroom. She supports faculty in the conversion of course materials to electronic formats, monitors copyright issues, and ensures that materials are made available for online instruction. She schedules and creates Distance Ed and campus webcast presentations and synchronizes all of the mediasite recorded events held on campus. She provides technical support and assistance in the use of applications and software as they relate to distance education technologies. Vicki will also coordinate and provide professional development activities and one-on-one opportunities to faculty and staff on current learning management system features and supported software.
Jan Bottorf - Web Applications Administrator
As System Administrator for the eCollege CMS, Jan creates terms, course shells, and user accounts on the system, duplicates past course content for faculty, monitors the automated student enrollment process, and provides technical support for faculty and student end-users. Using the Snap Survey software, Jan creates surveys for faculty and staff, creates and administers the student evaluations for the online courses, and she trains and provides support to users who would like to use the software on their own. Jan also tracks helpdesk requests using Footprints, creates online forms using FormMaker, and can assist faculty and staff in downloading Respondus and StudyMate.
Jamie Walker - Distributed Systems Specialist II
Jamie’s main role is to backup, manage, maintain, and upgrade the hardware and software that collectively house the eCampus. His additional roles include hardware and software support for the faculty and staff. Installing and implementing hardware to take advantage of current technologies to improve communication and learning among eCampus members also falls under Jamie’s expertise.
Cortney Force - Secretary
Cortney coordinates general office functions for the Distance Education and Graduate Studies Offices of Lock Haven University. Her duties include processing budget review spreadsheets, preparing documents, memos, spreadsheets, maintaining filing systems, processing travel, purchase requests and a variety of LHU paperwork. Cortney assists staff members of the Distance Education department. She also assists Graduate Studies faculty members under the M.Ed. in Alternative Education, M.Ed. in Teaching and Learning and Master’s in Liberal Arts programs.
