eCollege.NExT
Lock Haven University is in the process of rolling out eCollege's next generation learning platform entitled .NExT. The new platform maintains eCollege’s proven course platform, while adding a wide array of new instructor and administrator-requested features and enhancements geared towards improving the usability and overall experience of the eCollege platform. Such enhancements include:
- Improved control over managing course tools, such as assessments and communication;
- Increased options for customizing course styles, colors, and fonts;
- Language and time zone localization options available for global students; and
- Improved tools to easily reorder and configure course units and content.

All Fall 2009 courses (fully online and eCompanion alike) will be running on the new .NExT platform.
Our office can create new .NExT shells at any time. However, for any courses that will need to be "duped," we need to have eCollege do this for us, as they will be upgrading the course to .NExT format during the dupe. The upgrade process has only been taking a couple of days to complete, but please do forward your Fall 2009 course requests to us at your earliest convenience.
